Founded in 1989, as the Canadian American Business Alliance of South Florida, Inc. (CABA), the name was changed in 1999 to more closely reflect the
objectives of the organization. The primary objectives of the Canadian American Chamber of Commerce are:
- To stimulate business interaction between Canadian and South Florida companies;
- To provide a forum to discuss issues that affect Canada and the U.S. and, in particular, South Florida;
- To provide networking opportunities for people who share a common interest in Canada; and,
- To promote cross border trade, technology transfer and investment opportunities.
